We hope that parents/carers and their friends and family are able to come and:
- under 13s have fun on the four bouncy castles & inflatables (a circus-themed bouncy castle, an inflatable vertical drop-slide, a disco bouncy castle with slide and an inflatable assault course).
- experience animal encounters and meet a corn snake, royal python, bearded dragon, blue tongue skink, tortoise, hissing cockroach, giant millipede and giant land snail.
- get faces painted with unicorns, spiderman, butterflies and much more
- see a Mr Merlin and Okey Dokey The Dragon show, a winner of the coveted ‘UK Children’s Entertainer Of The Year’
- participate in a musical theatre workshop with BIGLITTLE Theatre School
- shoot and try to beat the football keeper with Lilliput F.C.
- find out more about the performing arts with Centre Stage School of Dance & Performing Arts
- guess the teacher on a fun trail
- enjoy all the other fête favourites like hook the duck, splat the rat, plant, old uniform and knick-knack stalls
- buy refreshments and snacks at the well-stocked bar (in association with Greys Estate Agents)
- see Harry Redknapp draw the raffle at 4:30pm
Whilst the PTA work hard behind the scenes, there is plenty you can also do to help make it the best fête ever!
Donations
We are very grateful for all donations for our planned stalls, which can be left in the large tubs outside of reception. Donations can be nut-free prizes for our tombola, children’s tombola, lucky dip, preloved books, teddies and tartan skirts.
In addition, please email lilliputinfantschoolpta@gmail.com if you are able to lend a gazebo for the event. We would also be extremely appreciative of any nut-free cakes brought into reception towards the end of next week too.
Scopay Pre-Sales
You can currently purchase tokens and pre-book children’s activities for the Summer Fête on Scopay until 9am on Thursday 6th July.
You will be able to collect your named envelope on the day at the fête entrance.
A printed programme will be distributed into book bags early this week.
Monday 24th April & Monday 12th June 2023
Preloved Monday
We are starting up a small event selling old uniform, cakes and refreshments, which we hope will grow into a regular staple in the diary.

Time: 3pm – 4pm
Where: School Hall (with colouring tables for children)
Cake Contributions Needed
Is your family a dab hand at weekend baking and able to bring some cakes which we could sell? Do you have some cakes at home which might go to waste?
All baked goods are well received by us! Bring your cakey delights to the school office on the morning of Monday 24th April for us to sell that afternoon. Please note we cannot accept anything containing nuts or past its sell or use by date.
Old Uniform Donations Required
Do you have any old school uniform which you could donate to this event? We would love to sell them at Preloved Monday! Please bring your donations to the school office, thanks in advance.
Volunteers
If you able to help on one of the tables or serving refreshments at this or future events, please let us know.
Wednesday 29th March 2023
Under The Sea Disco & Non Uniform Day
It's time for the children to dig out their snorkels and get their dancing shoes on as the Helping Hands of Lilliput Infant School PTA have secured DJ Phil to give them a fantastic start to the Easter holidays.

Wednesday 29th March will also be an Under the Sea themed non uniform day – think mermaids, divers and all things aquatic!
We are asking for a donation of £1 per child for the non uniform day and this can either be cash or made via Scopay under Helping Hands Products.
If you would like your child to also attend the disco, we are asking for a payment of £2.50 and this again should be made via your child’s Scopay account under Helping Hands Products. (No cash payments please).
If you have yet to fill out the consent form (now closed), please also email the school with:
- The name of the child attending
- Their class
- The contact number
- The name of adult collecting
- A security word
The disco will be held in the School Hall as follows, and all children should bring a named water bottle.
- Reception, 3.00 – 4.00 pm
- Year 1, 4.15 – 5.15 pm
- Year 2, 5.30 – 6.30 pm
If you want to protect your child’s ears, please bring named noise-cancelling headphones. A quiet area will also be available for those children who need a break.
Please come to the main school office entrance to drop off your child and pick-up your child from the sign-posted from the double red doors by the After School Club. If you are picking up your child early, please use the main entrance.
Arrangements for each year group:
Reception
Reception children will be escorted to the hall at the end of the school day – they will already be wearing their underwater outfits. When the disco ends please collect your child promptly from the main entrance at 4pm – this will enable us to prepare for the Year 1 disco which follows. Children will not be allowed to leave without a parent/guardian/named adult present.
Year 1
Please drop your children off at the main entrance at 4.15pm and collect them promptly at 5.15pm so we can prepare for the Year 2 disco which follows. Children will not be allowed to leave without a parent/guardian/named adult present. If your child is attending Dramarama they will be escorted to the Disco at 4.10pm.
Year 2
Please drop your children off at the main entrance at 5.30pm and collect them promptly at 6.30pm so we can tidy up and lock up the school for the night. Children will not be allowed to leave without a parent/guardian/named adult present. As Wednesday is a PE day, please bring your child to school in the morning with their PE kit in a bag. If your child is attending an after school club that finishes before 5:30pm, they will need to be picked up from the club and returned to school for 5:30pm.
Children who attend the After School Creative Club will be able to attend the disco for their year groups at the appropriate time.
For our risk assessment we need to ensure that we have a minimum number of volunteers on the team to help us at each disco, so please let us know if you can help on the link enclosed above – free tea and coffee will be provided!
